Quilter's Stash Box - March 2017
Thread, thread, thread, thread!
The March 2017 Stash Box features Superior Threads, with more than a mile of high-quality thread from their Magnifico and Fantastico lines - all color-coordinated with this month's fabric!
Available in 200 colors, Magnifico is bold with excellent strength for quilting and embroidery. Subscribers received three 500-yard 40 wt. spools in Taos, Early Bird, and Horizon.
Available in more than 150 colors, Fantastico is a variegated high-strength polyester thread. The variegated color blends are beautiful for topstitching applications when you want your thread to make a statement. Subscribers received a 500-yard 40 wt. spool of Niagara.
Superior Threads was kind enough to also include a 10% off coupon for shopping on their site - coupon expires May 31, 2017.
Great care has been taken to provide subscribers with a lovely, color-coordinated Stash Box this month. They've received a bundle of Bali Batiks from our partner, Hoffman California-International Fabrics. Our friends at Hoffman put together 6 fat quarters plus a 7/8 yard for the background to piece this month's pattern.
Cut Loose Press System
The March pattern is Double Dresden by Christine Van Buskirk. It finishes at 32x32 inches and is likely to require 6+ hours for the typical quilter. The pattern creates a large center flower that is perfect for a wall-hanging or table topper.
New subscribers to Quilter's Stash Box always receive the Cut Loose Press divider tab system. (Singe Stash Boxes do not qualify for the tab dividers.) These patterns, a single colorful heavy-stock page, file easily into the dividers so that projects can quickly be identified by:
- Project Type: Quilt, Stitchery, Home, Craft, or Bag
- Fabric Type: Fat Quarter, Square, Strip, and Yardage
- Project Time: Under 2 Hours, 2-6 Hours, and 6+ Hours
Pictured below are some of the Cut Loose Press patterns we've enclosed in previous Stash Boxes.
Of course, subscribers aren't obligated to use their new fabric and thread on each monthly pattern, but we like to package contents that can work together for a cohesive project.
